This impressive life-size plaster cast of the Charioteer of Delphi was produced by the historic Ateliers de Moulage du Musée du Louvre in Paris. With its commanding scale, restrained stance, refined classical proportions and subtly patinated surface, the sculpture conveys the quiet monumentality of one of antiquity’s most celebrated works.
The cast reproduces the ancient Greek bronze Charioteer of Delphi, created in the 5th century BCE and discovered at the Sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi in 1896. The original bronze is preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Delphi and is renowned for its exceptional state of preservation and extraordinary naturalism.
The work offered by Maison Palm Beach is not the ancient bronze, but a documented French life-size plaster cast after the antique, produced by the historic Louvre molding atelier.

The cast bears a circular metal medallion of the Ateliers de Moulage du Musée du Louvre, inscribed: “MUSÉE DU LOUVRE / REPRODUCTION INTERDITE / ATELIERS DE MOULAGE.”
This surviving workshop mark provides physical documentation linking the cast to the historic Louvre molding atelier in Paris. The form of the medallion is consistent with examples used by the workshop during approximately 1927–1960.
