The Archer — Ernst Moritz Geyger
Previously sold by Maison Palm Beach. The Archer is among Ernst Moritz Geyger’s best-known sculptural compositions, combining classical inspiration with a dynamic treatment of the male figure at the instant before release of the arrow.
The model was produced in bronze in multiple sizes by the renowned Gladenbeck foundry in Berlin.

Birdman with Eagle — Otto Poertzel
Bronze | 1925
Previously sold by Maison Palm Beach. This large bronze by German sculptor Otto Poertzel depicts a youthful figure releasing an eagle, combining an elongated composition with the sense of movement characteristic of Poertzel’s figurative work. Trained as a modeler and sculptor, Poertzel exhibited internationally, including at the world fairs in St. Louis and Brussels.

Messenger of the Marathon — Max Kruse
Previously sold by Maison Palm Beach. Max Kruse’s bronze depicts Pheidippides, the legendary Greek messenger associated with the Battle of Marathon.
Signed “Max Kruse Fec” and bearing the H. Gladenbeck & Sohn foundry mark, the model is documented in Bronzes, Sculptors & Founders, 1800–1930 by Harold Berman. Another example of the model is recorded in Berlin.
